Paisley in the fog

 Dress: Zara
Boots: Zara
Hat: H&M
Gloves: Görtz
Cuff: Mango
Bag: Vintage

The last 2 weeks south Germany was covered by a fog and mist blanket. I even missed the driveway home as I couldn't see anything. By the way in Germany the word "Mist" is used in the context of "Shit.. or Damn" thought I shared it with you as I had a really funny experience. My american boyfriend gifted me a body mist  last christmas, so I was like "Ok and why do I get a scent that smells like shit?" hahaha totally cracked his family up. Seriously to that time I wasn't familiar with this word, you never stop learning silly german gal :-D

As far as my outfit is concerned I can tell you, that except of the hat everything is at least 3 years old. I love reshopping my closet. I got this super flirty dress 3 years ago for christmas and never wore it since then. A pair of nice burgundy booties would have been a great match with this look but the Mango ones I ordered were super chic but uncomfy, so I returned them and still on the hunt for a nice pair. If you see some elegant yet comfy booties let me know.

Black and Blue

Sweater: H&M
Jacket: Zara
Skirt: Mango
Tights: C&A
Necklace: C&A
Pumps: Asos
Purse: Chanel
Gloves: Görtz

I have been totally in to the matchy matchy outfits lately and really like monochromatic looks. I
feel like people shy away from black and blue a lot, but its one of my favorite combos. I really love the sophisticated vibe of the cobalt blue sweater with the black peplum pencil skirt. The patterned tights with different blue hues add that fun twist.

An old flame never dies series with blogger friend Bonnie #4

Hello, Fleurani readers!  My name is Bonnie and I blog over at Delusions of Grandeur. I was thrilled when Ani invited me to participate in her "An Old Flame Never Dies" series.  Not only is Ani one of my favorite bloggers - super sweet, very fashionable, and on top of it all from my country of birth - but I also happened to have come across a box of long-forgotten clothing in a recent move.

And the item I was most excited to be reunited with is this girl-walking-dog sweater.  I honestly don't remember where I got this - I know it was when I was living in Nashville about 10 years ago and the label says "Isadora Story for Arden B.", but most likely I picked it up at a thrift shop somewhere.  Its unclear origins aside, I fell right back in love with it and paired it with a mustard colored skirt and heart print shirt that I recently picked up at Forever 21.

And the outfit just wouldn't be complete without a little dog, so Oscar, my supersized Yorkshire Terrier, had to make an appearance, too.

Thank you for having me, Ani, and thank you all for reading!  Feel free to swing by my blog and say hi anytime. :)

Love,
 Bonnie

Ok guys, so now after looking at this phenomenal pictures you can understand why Bonnie had to be part of my series. Not only has she been one of my favourite bloggers from the beginning because of her playful, chic and elegant style but also because of her super sweet and witty personality. Thank you so much to you and Oscar for making this pleasant appearance on my blog :-)

@Oscar: For beeing such a good boy auntie Ani has a treat waiting for you :-)

An Old Flame Never Dies #3

 Sweater: Mango (5 years old)
Plaid Blouse: Zara (3 years old)
Skirt: Promod (3 years old)
Boots: Vintage (over 30 years)
Bag: Fries & Company (2 years old)
Sunnies: Esprit ( 0,5 year old)

I did it again, I was shopping in my closet and it didn't pay a penny :-D. This time I found this super cute sweater with its fine puffy detailing on the shoulder, two lil pockets and those red buttons that I got in Budapest when I was studying there back in 2008. It was the best time ever and great memories arouse and warmed my heart when I hold it in my hand again :-)
Ok, when I tell you that those brand new vintage patch boots, that were a gift from my ex bf's mom (she got them in the 70's and never wore them), went to seed in my basement for probably 7 years and got super moldy, they were in laundry detergent powder water for a week hahaha. What was I thinking to leave them there? Anyhow, they forgived me and grace my shoe closet since then. They are so unique and I haven't seen anybody with similar boots so far.
Hope you like with what I came up with?

If you wanna see my previous oldies but goodies looks click here and here.
I would love to encourage my blogger friends to reshop their closet, so far Krista, Jenny and Suzanne joined my series and I am super excited what you will come up with. If you wanna participate, let me know!

dots and lace

Dress: H&M
Tights: H&M
Bag: Belmondo
Wedgies: Zara
Jacket: Orsay
Necklace: H&M

I knew I got a lot of use of this dress when I spottet it at H&M. I wore it already a la country style see (here ). This time I styled it in a more chicer way with my black suede wedgies and added a playful touch with the dots tights, aren't they cute as hell? The pink necklace gives it a colourful nice finish.

An Old Flame Never Dies Series with blogger friends #3

Hey my loves! I'm excited to introduce Suzanne from Suzanne Carillo Style Files, for this installment of the "An old flame never dies" series!

Hi, I'm Suzanne and I have a blog called Suzanne Carillo Style Files. My blog previously was called Bisous (French for little kisses) as that is the name of my design/scrapbook company. I started my blog initially for marketing my designs which include illustrations for the crafting industry, stamps, stickers and scrapbooking papers. I have been dedicating more of my time towards my newer interests which are jewelry design and fashion. I began focusing more on fashion through my blog about 10 months ago. For years I've styled my friends and family so this was a very natural progression for me.  In the future I'm hoping to offer image consultation helping others discover their own personal style. In the meantime on my blog I'm having fun putting together outfits, creating style boards, designing jewelry, drawing illustrations, making cards, crafting some DIYs and maybe a bit of scrapbooking from time to time and other bits and bobs from my every day life which includes a husband from France and a "baby" ( I call her a baby but really she is now in her 20's in dog years, oh how they grow up so fast!) pug called Zoe.

I want to thank Ani for letting me participate in this feature. I love Ani's colourful style and fab European backgrounds in her photos. I always feel a bit like I've travelled when I read her posts.  I think her idea to feature older pieces that we have been neglecting in our closets is timely due to the current economic crisis and the fact that not everyone has an endless fashion budget or loads of companies shipping them free products. With the upswing in vintage shopping it's the perfect time to start realizing that there are pieces of clothing that can be considered timeless classics that you can literally keep for a lifetime if you look after them well and stay away from the junk-food aisles.

 Dress - Boutique

Slip - Skirt from H&M
Shoes - Juicy Couture
Bag - Melanie Lynn
Necklace - by me

Okay... here is the oldest item in my closet and a true timeless classic. I bought this dress for my high school graduation. No joke. I don't want to get into exact dates (Lordy NO!), but it suffices to say that both myself and the dress would be considered vintage. I was sweet 16 when I bought and wore this dress to my graduation ( I graduated earlier than most because I skipped a grade. Yes...I used to be smart). I bought it from an exclusive woman's shop in the mall where I worked and told the saleswoman at the time (whom I thought was super old and I'm sure she was much younger than I am now! Sigh...) that I wanted something classic and simple but unique. Yes, it's true that I've always known what I wanted. I'm sure if you've read my blog you're not surprised by that little tid-bit.  You know you've really bought a classic piece when you can wear it so many years later and have it still look good. I know, I know...it's a miracle it still fits! Granted, it was looser when I wore it when I was just 16, but I'm still able to move freely in it without worrying something will pop or explode. Other than my hip (just kidding). I updated the dress a bit by adding a lace slip (it's actually a skirt but I'm using it like a slip) silver belt and one of my wearable art pieces, a fabric necklace that I've pinned to the neckline. I still adore the lovely detailed draping and open back of this otherwise very simple black crepe dress.

Thanks for sharing Suzanne and make sure to check out her blog and her lovely statement necklaces everyone, I'll  guarantee you won't be disappointed!

If you wanna participate in this series, let me know!

Big and little dots

Coat: Zara (5 years old)
Pants: Asos (new)
Pumps: Boutique in Budapest ( 4 years old)
Sweater: Romwe
Bag: Chanel
Necklace: H&M

I spotted this pants on a blogger and added it in the same breath to my asos bag. Isn't it super cute with the bigger dots in the front and the little dots in the back? It can be styled in so many ways. Paired with the striped sweater and the elegant and classic white coat it definitely appears feminine and chic.

Have a lovely start in the week and thank you so much for your lovely support :-)
